Do you speak another language? If so, what?

I try to speak German.  I am far from fluent but I can find the restroom and order food from a menu printed in German.  As my husband's aunt would say,"I know enough so they can't sell me."
My husband was born in Germany and lived there for the first twenty years of his life.  He immigrated here with his sister so when they would be together they spoke only their local dialect while her husband spoke proper German or Hoch Deutsch.  So, by listening to their conversations for many years, I picked up some of the dialect and the Hoch Deutsch.  I also, took some lessons at the local community college and bought some self help books.
I don't speak correctly and can only carry on simple conversations but I don't have to sit and listen anymore.
