I will start with the difficulties of being a child. First, you have no control of your time or activities. You can't drive so you have to depend on others to take you places unless you live where there is public transportation but then you have to get the money from somewhere to ride. Since you aren't old enough to get a job, you have to depend on your parents or relatives to provide you with money. You aren't tall enough to get what you want out of the cabinets when you want it. You have to go to school even when you don't feel like it. You have chores to do including cleaning your room. On the whole, childhood is not a fun time. Right?
The difficulties of being an adult are somewhat similar(yes children they are). First, you have no control( or little) of your time or activities. Adults have jobs that they have to be at at a certain time and can't leave until their shift is over. When they leave work, they have to run errands and shop before they go home to prepare a meal, look over homework, clean up after eating, and get everything ready for the next day. Yes, they can drive but it becomes a real pain to drive in rush hour traffic trying to make it to work on time. Yes, they have money but that money must be portioned out for various bills and services that children don't know about. They can't just take their paycheck and buy whatever they want or they soon will be living on the street or in their car. They very often have to go back to school to keep up on the latest innovations and versions of software.
Both groups have difficulties and both have the time to enjoy their lives. My advice is to enjoy life whatever stage you are in and don't regret what you may have missed in one stage because you must not have needed it to survive since you overcame that hurdle and moved on. Take you joys as they come and leave the sorrows behind. You won't forget either of them.
