What was your wedding like? Where were you married?

My wedding was fairly simple compared to some that I have attended.  I had a maid of honor(Rita Kappel a cousin of both Heinz and me) and a bridesmaid(my sister Billie), a flower girl(my sister Michele) and a ring bearer(my brother John.  Heinrich chose his brother-in-law, Basil Jaremczuk as his best man and his cousin Leo Berens as his groomsman.  I wore a long white silk dress and a shoulder length veil.  Heinz wore a morning suit since we were married at 10:00A.M.  My Dad's twin sisters Rell and Tine sang.  We had a cake and punch reception later in the day at a restaurant in Kankakee.  My youngest brother, Jeff, told everyone that he was the fireman for the wedding and came out of the restroom at the reception with his suit jacket neatly tucked into his pants to provide humor.  Although, we had humor before the wedding when Basil locked the rings in the house in Kankakee and had to drive the twelve miles back to the house and break in because he didn't have a key.  Yes, the wedding started a bit later than planned.

We were married in my parish church in Chebanse, IL. St. Mary and Joseph. The church that my grandfather and great uncles helped build.  It is a beautiful little church that has been well maintained.
