When did you get your first bike?

I didn't get "my" first bike until I was eight or nine.  Unfortunately, it was a bike for a five year old but I rode it anyway.  We have a picture of my uncle Dick riding it across the lawn.  He was always fun but his hours old bride didn't think it was the most appropriate thing to do on their wedding day.  I didn't have it very long before someone stole it.  It was never recovered and I don't remember getting another bike until I was married.
It wasn't the first bike I ever rode though.  My older sister got a bike when she was nine and she couldn't ride it immediately so dad told me to ride it.   At the age of seven, I hopped on the bike and rode away. That pleasured the devil in me because my older sister could always do everything better than me and now I had bested her in one thing.  That bike eventually became part of one of our brother's inventions without my sister's permission.  One day her bike was missing and parts of our brother's latest invertion looked suspiciously like her bike.  He had damaged it so badly that it couldn't be a bicycle again.  So, both of our first bikes were stolen in one way or another.
It wasn't a great loss because we still had our roller skates and still covered as much distance as with the bikes.
